HB 4128 - RESTRICTS

Prohibits carrying a firearm within 100' of any vote counting location. 

Any vote-counting location -- and the entrance to such a location -- will have a 100' radius around it that can make any law-abiding concealed-carrier walking by guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail, guaranteeing suspension of his or her CPL.

Potential amendments supporting responsible concealed carry:

• Remove the CPL restriction altogether.
• Replace "possess" with "brandish", an action which is already illegal under Michigan law.
